Metrics, analytics, statistics, etc., are just fancy words that involve measuring numbers to help you succeed. Some smart guy once said that you can't manage what you don't measure. Well, the same can be said about financial data in a company. You can't truly reach your business goals if you don't measure your financial data and constantly evaluate your progress.
