How many times have you made good use of your resolutions?
Every January 1, millions of people pledge some sort of resolution for the new year.
Among the most popular are, of course, losing weight, quitting smoking, saving money and managing stress.
But what about a New Year's resolution for your business?
According to Matthew Toren, all young entrepreneurs should take advantage of the new year as a
fresh start by setting intentional, tangible goals.
"It may sound corny, but making a New Year's Resolution saved my fledgling business," Toren writes.
In particular, Toren resolved to delegate more of his workload to avoid the common pitfall of overload. The resolutions, he says, made a world of difference, and they only required a couple changes.
"Just one or two tweaks to the business gave us more clarity, helped us focus better on long term business planning and even improved our relationships with our staff, vendors and customers," he says.
