When developing a social media strategy, it can be difficult to determine which networks to target. You can hit up the popular
Facebook and
Twitter, the formerly popular
MySpace or any number of websites (for example,
Google+,
Tumblr and
Flickr). According to the NY Times' Gene Marks, small businesses should steer toward Facebook with its
63 percent reach to the general population as opposed to Google+'s 0.05 percent. Additionally, social media experts predict that ad spending on social networking sites will reach $2.3 billion by 2015.
