What’s not exciting about working with the best bookkeeping firm in Knoxville?! Really, there are good reasons why I’m excited about working here. The primary reason being that I get to work alongside an amazing team.
I wish that others knew how committed they are to not only providing the best service for their partners but also the high level of thought and care they have for each partner that comes through our office. The team at Two Roads consistently brings “partner care” into their discussions and meetings, and I think that my position shows that they are taking steps to provide the best partner care in Knoxville.
My first job was working as a pool server (& regular server) at a country club. It was actually the country club I grew up going to/still occasionally go to in my hometown.
I am definitely an outdoor gal. I love to hike, backpack, camp, fish, hammocks, I LOVE horses and dogs... But really, I enjoy those activities the most when I get to be with my friends. When I’m not at work, I want to be at someone’s house or spending time with my friends. I also love moments when I can go to a coffee shop or outside some place and read a good book.
I was a drum-major of a marching band for two years (ha!) and was a cheerleader for three years. To the dismay of all southerners, I do NOT like sweet tea!!
The book “Unbroken” by Laura Hillenbrand. It’s an awesome biography on the life of WWII survivor Lieutenant Louis Zamperini. Well-written and very interesting, amazing, real-life story.
The Best- the best part by far, since I’ve been working at Two Roads has been my personal interaction with all the team members. They have been patient with me as I grow more familiar with my position. I dubbed myself the “Queen of Questions”, and everyone has been SO helpful and encouraging as I step into this new role. Days in the office are also really fun; this team has a great sense of humor. They love to laugh and laugh at each other. ;)
The Worst- My first day “on my own,” (6 days total at TR) I was on an errand for our office and my car died. Conveniently, I had also just lost my cell phone two days prior. Thankfully, I had remembered the office number, asked to borrow a stranger’s cell phone and called the office. Joe came to the rescue to pick me up; all I could think was, “wow, welcome to the team!”
