Two Roads Expands to Memphis & Beyond with Bill Piper
Big things are underway as we prepare to kick off 2017 with a bang! The support we’ve received in Knoxville and surrounding areas has encouraged us to put firm roots in other places. Bill Piper has been an advocate and fan of Two Roads since our beginning and we are excited to announce that he has recently joined our team with a plan to help us better serve small businesses in Memphis, TN as well as developing a team to serve other cities in the near future. and beyond West Tennessee in late 2017.
Our love for small businesses and what they do started as a seed that was planted in 2011 when our founder, Adam Slack, asked himself, “What is the biggest challenge small business owners face and what can I do to help them thrive?” Over the past five and a half years, these two questions have grown from a simple pondering to the vision we share today.
We want small business owners old and new to be less stressed with the status of their QuickBooks accounts and more engaged with their customers. We want them to be able to leave work at the door when they come home to their families so they can focus on the people they love. We’ve seen many of our clients’ businesses and family lives thrive after partnering with Two Roads and it’s a joy to have the opportunity to partner with more and more business owners by expanding our team to deliver the same level of support on a larger scale.
As a Firm of the Future, we’ve teamed up with Intuit to provide our clients with reliable bookkeeping and tax services using the best software available. With QuickBooks Online, we help small businesses make financially informed decisions, so they can serve their customers with confidence.
Bill’s involvement will continue this vision, giving Memphis small business owners a solid foundation upon which they can build their dreams.
My wife, Sophie, and I attended the naming party at the inception of Two Roads and I introduced Joe and Adam to each other as the company just started to take shape. It has been exciting to watch Two Roads mature over the years and I am happy to have a seat at the table and be a part of what Two Roads is today.
The core of the Two Roads’ mission is to change the landscape of small businesses in America by providing financial clarity to business owners who feel reactive or don't have total control over their finances. The business owners we work with are all taking the road less traveled -- and it's typically harder than any of us imagines. We have a great offering and a killer team behind it. Knoxville has really gotten to experience that over the last five years, so our hope is to take that same experience to businesses in Memphis that can better utilize their financial data.
I’ve always worked with small businesses in my career and I am looking forward to continue doing so with Two Roads. Over the years, I’ve studied different ways small businesses leverage cloud technologies and have come to understand that while cool, technology only really matters to the extent it makes a business run better. Despite industry variances, most businesses face the same exact challenges: maintaining revenue, managing costs, keeping good people, and delivering a great product. As a small business advocate for West Tennessee and beyond, my endeavor is to empower business owners to greater success by using their financial data more effectively.
