Two Roads Team Spotlight: Zach Cochran, Partner Advocate

TR_Zach_Fotor1. Why did you decide to work for a bookkeeping company?

Bookkeeping is essential to running a healthy and successful business. Often it is not given the time and attention that is needed. I decided to work for Two Roads bookkeeping company because of the value it brings to a partner. I am happy to be a part of a process that removes a burden.

2. What’s one thing you think everyone working for a new business should do?

I would encourage those working for a new company to passionately help the business grow. Do whatever it takes to get the job done. Be willing to humble yourself, to wear a variety of hats to ensure the success for the business.

3. What excites you about working at Two Roads?

Two Roads truly removes the headaches from small business bookkeeping. They do this through meaningful relationships with their partners where they provide efficient, simple and clear financials that free the business owner to do what he or she is passionate about.

4. What’s an example of that?

Before joining the Two Roads's team, I was the Catering Manager for Brown Bag Catering, a Two Roads Partner. I got to see first hand how Two Roads can affect a business. With the Two Roads system in place, I was better equipped to provide better customer service and operate the tasks of my job with greater efficiency.

5. What was the last book you read (or recommended?)

The book currently on my nightstand is Leadership as an Identity by Crawford W. Loritts, Jr.

6. What was your first job?

My first job was a greeter at the Chop House in Knoxville, Tennessee

7. Who or what inspires you?

The Good News of Jesus Christ.

8. Why do you feel that way?

Jesus offers me abundant life in Himself, by no work or merit of my own. I have hope and a future because of the mercy and grace that is extended to me. This good news inspires me to hopefully bring this same mercy and grace to those I interact with on a daily basis where I live, work and play.

9. What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love spending time with my wife. We enjoy traveling, cooking, good food, being outside, and spending time with friends and family.

10. What might (someone) be surprised to know about you?

I have been to every time zone on the Earth.

11. What do you wish other people knew about Two Roads?

I wish other people knew how much the Two Roads team cares for their partners and wants them to succeed.

12. What's the best thing to happen since you started working with Two Roads?

I have never started a new job where I have felt more a part of the existing team than at Two Roads. To be encouraged and challenged and welcomed has been great.
